Private Tours

These tours will be tailored to the skills and desires of guests and can range from a gentle hike in the woods to a more challenging hike up to the summit of Pico Peak. Private tours can start at the Killington clubhouse, the Killington Grand hotel or at a pre-determined location.

Sample Tours:

Base Camp Trails A 90-minute tour that utilizes mountain biking and hiking trails.  This hike is generally flat, parallels Kent Pond and includes a waterfall.  Suitable for all levels. Killington – Pico Connect This tour takes you from Killington to Pico Peak followed by a descent back to the clubhouse or as an alternative, down to the base of the Pico Ski area. This tour includes over 2,500 ft of climbing.   The tour begins at the base of Ramshead for a slightly shorter hike. Total time: 4-5 hours Pico Peak via the Sherburne Pass Trail This tour begins at the Sherburne Trailhead parking lot (opposite the Inn at Long Trail) on Route 4 and takes the Sherburne Pass Trail (2.7 miles) to the Pico Camp cabin and then another 0.4 miles to the summit (3,957 ft.).  Return via the Sherburne Pass Trail.   Total time: 4-5 hours. Gifford Woods This tour begins at the Gifford Woods Winter Parking Area (off Route 100 just north of the Route 4/100 intersection) and includes an easy 1.7mile hike through an Old Growth Forest. Tour length is approximately 2 hours and is suitable for advanced beginners and intermediate levels. This tour can be extended in time, length and difficulty to include a portion of the Appalachian Trail including some scenic waterfalls. Total time: approximately 2 hours.  This tour can also be added to the Base Camp Trails for a longer tour. Bachelorette Parties/ School Groups /Special Occasion Tours Got a large group coming to Killington and want to have some fun, let Bear Trax work with your group to design a special tour!  We can arrange mountainside champagne toasts to post hike libations, or post tour s’mores at our fire pit.  Call for pricing and more information.
